International Travel Promotion
International travel to the United States is critical for a host of economic, political and diplomatic
reasons, yet the United States is alone among developed nations in not promoting travel from
other countries. Between 2000 and 2007, overseas travel to the U.S. fell 8% - approximately 2
million travelers - even though overseas travel around the world grew by 28% - or 35 million
travelers.
