There are 35 million more people around the world traveling overseas today than in 2000. Not only did the United States fail to capture any of these new travelers, we lost two-million overseas visitors. (In 2000, 122 million people traveled overseas, including the 26 million who came to the U.S. In 2007, 157 million people traveled overseas, 24 million of whom came to the United States.)
